Water Conservation

Often times, access to clean water is a roadblock to overall conservation efforts. The rainforest collects rain to help water the rice crops, and thus conservation efforts must educate the community about the benefits of the rainforest with regards to food, as well as sanitation! Educating the people of Madagascar on the importance of water conservation and how it benefits them is a crucial step in habitat conservation!

CF works with the local communities to bring about innovative ways to transport water from the rainforests, such as hipporollers. CF also teaches about contaminated water, proper hygeine, and sanitation, which all benefit the local people.
